The former St. John Hotel has kept on the head chef and much of the cooking philosophy, but put a good dollop of cozy into the interior (including the upstairs bar).

How’s the food? Ed Smith (Rocket & Squash) found a “showstopper” of a honey tart, while Chris Pople (Cheese & Biscuits) deemed lamb sweetbreads “
nothing short of perfect”.
